每一種生物在這個世界上都是從身邊的事物學習。我們跟外國人都一樣，我們從家人老師朋友以及傳播媒介學習我們用的語言

基本上，從每一樣看到的、聽到的、感覺到的，都是一個學習的過程。外國人不需要將他們聽到的英文翻譯為其他語言就可以了解那句話的意思，就好像台灣人知道「時間」就是時間，而我們也不會把「時間」搞混為「餅乾」或者「糖果」(像你舉的例子)。



外國人也是用同樣的思考模式去理解感情、時間等詞來形容抽象的事物，這些都是從他們身邊的人事物而學習了解得到的。

How do people from an english speaking country learn to speak english?



Every creature in this world learn from their surrounding. We learn from our parents, teachers, friends, media and basically everything that we see, we hear and we feel are a part of the learning progress of being a human. people from english speaking country do not have to translate it into another language in order to understand it. just as, we do not have to translate 時間 into time in order to understand what is 時間. we know 時間 is 時間; as they know time is time. they know that time is not 餅乾 or 糖果 as we know that 時間 does not mean 餅乾 or 糖果. It's the same as those symbolic (象徵) and abstract (抽象) word, they know it because they learn it from other people from their surrounding.



We know 時間 is time and 動物園 is zoo because that is the way we learn from our surrounding, maybe you didn't notice it but you learn it somewhere and some point in life.
